New Well

      Water has been an issue for decades at this church. The church has been praying for so long for good water. Since we have arrived, it has affected us on a daily basis. You don'trealize the importance of good drinking water until you live without it! It was undrinkable, turned our clothes a shade of orange and was unpleasant for bathing. The name of the church here is Living Waters Assembly of God and I have spoken to the congregation on several occasions about living up to our name. 

    We have measured in every direction countless times looking for a possible site for the drilling of the new well. The property has several septic tanks and buried fuel tanks which made it hard to find a good location. We were under the impression that a new well had to be over two hundred feet from septic tanks. There was no possible location on our property. So, we began to seek the state for a special provision. As we went through this process, we found that based on our property size and number of people, that we only had to be one hundred and fifty feet away. We were still having trouble finding a spot that would work for those guidelines. Finally, it was suggested to try in an area at the back of the property. There are power lines that run across the back of the property line. We called and found out that there was a fifteen foot right away for their access. We measured the fifteen feet and marked the spot. Then we measured to the closest septic tank and it was 151 1/2 feet!!! There was a 1 1/2 feet to drill our new well! Praise the Lord!!!

    When Arctic Drilling showed up two weeks ago, it was so exciting and surreal! They drilled eighty feet the first day. The next day, they made it to two hundred feet. On the third day, they drilled eighty more feet and it was still very unsanitary water. The well driller came and said, “I’m going down to three hundred feet.” As they started the last twenty feet, they hit the gravel they were looking for and the good water! The water came spraying out, shooting into the air!  We praise the Lord and give Him the glory for this miracle and we are praying that the spiritual living waters will breathe forth in this community!
